What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people with disabilities, their families and carers. It is jointly funded and governed by the Australian and state & territory governments and is not means tested.
Through individualised packages of support to eligible participants, access to specific supports are provided to enable people with a disability to live a better life. The participant has a significant amount of choice and control to use the supports which best suit them.
The NDIS Process
The NDIS supports people with a disability.
The process for participants:
- Determining Eligibility
- NDIS Planning Meeting
- NDIS Plan Approval (Usually 12 months)

- Activate Supports
- Keep track of the plan services and spending
- NDIS Review Meeting
