3 Easy Steps to Activate Supports

Now it’s time for the fun part! It’s time to find the right service provider or make contact with an existing service provider to let them know the participant has received their new plan.

Understanding who is a service provider

A service provider is a person, organization or company who delivers a service or product to a participant in the NDIS. Some providers are ‘registered providers’ with the NDIA. These providers have proven to the NDIA they have the qualifications and experience required to effectively provide specific supports to NDIS participants. The support will not be paid for if a participant accesses a non-registered provider and is required to only use registered providers. To find out about getting a NDIS Plan changed to include non-registered providers, contact the So Joe team.

Finding the Right Service Provider

Support Coordinator

If Support Coordination is included in the NDIS Plan , this allows the participant to have access to a Support Coordinator. This helpful support provides access to a professional who is skilled at helping find service providers which best suit the individual’s needs and interests. They can also assist the participant to connect and work with providers. To find out about getting Support Coordination included in the NDIS Plan, contact the So Joe team.
